BARNARDO’S HELPERS.
BOX OPENING AT WAKANUI. An enjoyable afternoon was spent at the “Box opening” of the Wakanui branch of the Barnardo Helpers League, at the residence of Mr and Mrs, r. Butterick on Thursday. The following members qualified tor the Silver Badges: Margaret Moore, Helen Cairns, Margaret Doalc Jean Cairns, Lynda Frampton, Geoffrey Ford, Leicester Moore, Bruce Leadley, Bobby Kingsßury and Gordon Cairns. The amount of £8 9s was the result' of the year’s effort. Margaret Cairns, on behalf of tno children, thanked the president for her hospitality.
