ST. KILDA BAND.
ARRIVAL IN ASHBURTON. PROGRAMME FOR. WEEK-END. Champion band in the Dominion, the St. Kilda Rand arrived in Ashburton by the relief express late this afternoon to present a Series of programmes in conjunction with the Ashburton Silver Band. A concert mil be given in St. Stephen’s Hall this evening, and to-mor-row afternoon thiere will be a display of the quickstep and a general musical programme in the Domain, starting at 2.30 o’clock. At 4 o’clock the band, with the Ashburton Silver Rand, which will also present selections during the afternoon, will take part in. the unveiling of the Centennial Memorial Sundial opposite the bowling greens. A further concert will be given in St. James Theatre to-morrow evening, prior to which the two bands will parade in the main streets with the Salvation Army Band. The visiting band will return to Dunedin on Monday.
