HITLER WAITING.
PREPARING FOR INVASION.
DANGER TILL WAR IS WON.
(Received This Day, 11.40 a.m. ) LONDON, November 22.
Brigadier Charlton warned the Home Guard that Hitler is continuing his preparations for the invasion of Britain, and will move if ever he gets the slightest superiority in the air. Setbacks for the Axis elsewhere are likely to encourage an attempt for a short cut to victory.
Field-Marshal Deverell said Germany has troops, ships and planes ready in France to take advantage of any slackening of vigilance or a favourable moment, whether military or political. Hitler had waited six months for the right moment to attack the Low Countries. No specific danger will pass until the war is won.
