HEARD NEAR GIBRALTAR.
FLEET LEAVES AT DAWN.
(Received This Day, 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, November 8
The Madrid correspondent of the Associated Press says that reports from La Linia state that the British Fleet, consisting of a battleship, two cruisers, eight destroyers, two submarines and an aircraft-carrier left Gibraltar at dawn. Heavy gunfire was heard in the Mediteranean soon afterwards.
