ENEMY SUBMARINE YARDS.
THIRTY FIRES AT EMDEN
ELECTRICITY PLANT ABLAZE

The submarine building yards at Vpgesack, near Bremen, were among the objectives attacked last night by aircraft of the Bomber Command, according to the Air Ministry communique, which also states that attacks were carried out- on the' petroleum sheds and the shipbuilding yards at Bremerhaven and Bremen. At Emden 30 fires were caused in thle target area. Other operations were directed against the Neuhoe electricity pouter station, at Hamburg, wife re a number . of fires were started. The ports- of Boulogne, Calais, Dunkirk, Antwerp and Flush - tog were also heavily bombed, together with a number of aerodromes in ememy occupation. Two of our aircraft are missing. Yesterday aircraft of the Coastal Command were a t tacked by two enemy twin-engined fighters and in the course cf the ensuing combat an enemy fighter was shot down into' the sea. — British Official Wireless.
