APPEAL TO FARMERS.
EARLY DELIVERIES TO WORKS. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, October 31. The Meat Board, ini a statement, says that it desires to impress on farmer's the necessity of continuing the usual practice of delivering early lambs and sheep to the freezing works as soon as such stock is ready for treatment. Shipping arrangements have been made to clear the stores of all last season’s surplus, and negotiations are now in train for sufficient vessels to take the usual early killings in the new season. On no account must the shipping schedule, be disorganised 1 by the failure of stock to- come forward as usual.
It is anticipated that the output of meat for export ini tine coining season will be heavy, therefore it is all . the more necessary that all stock should be delivered when ready for slaughter. Everyone connected with the industry is asked to assist in the steady flow of stock to- the works.
