BAD WEATHER IN GERMANY.
DOCKS AND NAVAL BASE STRUCK DAYLIGHT RAID ON CHERBOURG. (United Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Dav, 9.50 a.m.) LONDON, October 31. Operations by the Royal -Air Force were restricted last night - OAviiig to bad weather, but the docks at Hamburg and Flushing Ai'erc heavily bombed and the naval base at Emclen attacked. Cherbourg harbour was attacked during daylight operations yesterday. Dockside buildings Avere hit, and a heavy .salvo....dropped among, four Eboats that AA r eye cruising 20 miles out to sea. One enemy aircraft was destroyed. One of our aircraft is missing.— British Official Wireless.
