HEAVY TOTAL.
WEEK’S SHIPPING LOSSES.
CONCENTRATION OF U-BOATS. LONDON, October 29. It is officially announced that shipping losses for the week ending on October 21 totalled 198,000 tons, comprising 45 ships, 32 of which were British, seven Allied, and six neutral. This heavy total was mainly due to a big concentration of German submarines in the Atlantic, against a repetition of which the fullest precautions are being taken.
