EVERYTHING LOST.
HOUSE COMPLETELY DESTROYED FIRE AT LYNDHURST. A six-roomed house in the Lynd-hurst-YVinchmore district owned by Mr F. Henderson, was completely destroyed by fire at about 10 o’clock on Tuesday morning'. The house was about 11$ years old. All furniture and clothing were burnt with the house.
Mrs Henderson had lit the copperfire in the washhouse which is attached to the house, at about 9 a.m. About half an hour later she walked out to the mad which is several chains from the house to get the mail, and when she returned she saw smoke issuing from the washhouse. In a few minutes, fanned by a strong wind, the house was well ablaze and it was not possible toi save anything.
It is understood that the fire was due to a defective chimney. The house was insured with the London Lancashire Company for £BOO and the furniture for £490. The occupiers will nevertheless be severe losers.
