ST. JAMES THEATRE. An excellent double star feature programme will be presented to-nigbt and on Friday afternoon and evening, the features billed being “Charlie Chan in Reno” and “Brother Rat.” In the biggest little city in the world, Reno, Charlie Chan meets his loveliest—and deadliest—adversary! A fascinating killer in a fascinating case makes “Charlie Chan in Reno,” with Sidney Toler as Chan, one of the best of the popular 20th Century-Fox mystery productions. The film surrounds Chan with several of the most beautiful women in Hollywood. The cast of the film features’ Ricardo Cortez, Phyllis Brooks, Slim Summerville, Kane Richmond, Pauline Moore, Eddie Collins, Kay Linaker, Louise Henry ana Robert Lowery. A gay, blithesome comedy is “Brother Rat,” the associate feature, which deals with, the life in a military school. It combines the spirit of youth and romance with colour spectacle and dash. Priscilla Lane and Wayne Morris play the leads. Significance of the title is that the cadets at the Virginia Military Institute in the U.S.A. address one another as “Brother Rat.”’

To-morrow afternoon and evening the annual spring fair of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church will be held in St. Andrew’s Hall.
