OBITUARY.
MR PERCY EDGE. The death has occurred at Wliangarei of Mr Percy Edge, a veteran of the South African War. He arrived at Ashburton with his parents from Kent, England, at the age of five years. He served with an Australian unit in the* Boer War, and on his return he event into business at Palmerston North. Later he took a farm at Three Mile Bush. He played in the Whangarei Municipal Band. He is survived by his widow, one son (who is serving with the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy in H.M.S. Philomel), and two daughters. There are two sisters, Mrs A. M. Muir, Upper Riccarton ,and ‘Mrs Eva Soal, Ashburton, and a brother, Mr William Edge, of Haleombe.
