OBITUARY.

MR A. G. SHRIMPTON.

FIGURE IN FRIENDLY SOCIETY WORK. (Per Press Association WELLINGTON, This Day. Mr Anthony Graves Shrimpton, a leading figure in the Manchester Unity Order of Oddfellows, of which he has been Grand Secretary since 1927, is dead, aged 59. He was also secretary of the Dominion Council of Friendly Societies. Mr Shrimpton was a P.G.M. of the Nelson Masonic Order. He was keenly interested in sport and represented South Canterbury and Nelson in Rugby. He is survived by a son and daughter. Mr Shrimpton was attacked by a serious illness some time ago, the effects of which remained with him.
