YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUB
MEETING AT METHVEN. The monthly meeting of the Methven Young Farmers’ Club was held in the A. and P. Hall, when there was a good attendance. A presentation was made to the president (Mr R. D. Penney) on the occasion of his recent marriage,_ by Mr D. A. McLaughlin, who spoke of Mr Penney’s service to the club, and on behalf of members wished him all happiness. Later the club was entertained by the local branch of the Farmers’ Union, when an interesting debate took place.
