The committee of the Methvon Trotting Club, at a meeting at which the president (Air Harrison) occupied the chair, decided to make the trotters races optional unhoppled or half hoppled. The total stake money for the meeting on October 5 was fixed as last meeting, when £l4lO was given. Three slight alterations in the times of the Cup and Holmes Memorial and Riverbank Trot were agreed to. The programme was finalised as follows:—Drayton Trot, '£l4o; half hoppled or unhoppled trotters; 1£ miles 3.49 class. Westwood Ho Handicap, £140; 1£ miles; harness; class 3.5. tdethven Cup, 2 miles, £330, and ladies’ dressing ease donated by Distillers Agency, Ltd., per Mr T. E. James, valued at 25gns; 4.38 class.
