RESUMING REGISTRATION. WELLINGTON, June 13, “As already announced, the Government has decided to extend the scope and facilities for the training of a number of tlte units and sub-units of the National Military Reserve Class 2,” said the Minister of iDefehee (tile Hon. F. Jones) in an interview to-day. “Some of these units are below the specified strength, and in order to ensure that the number of fit men ,required to build these units up to the establishment prescribed are available in thei localities concerned, it has been decided to reopen the registration rolls and thereby give a further opportunity to those returned soldiers and others eligible, but not already registered, to enrol in the National Military Reserve, class 2.

“A number of requests that this opportunity might be given have been received from branches of the Returned Soldiers’ Association, and also from individuals who are eligible and anxious to assist when needed in the defence of their country. Registrations would be accepted from thosei in the three military districts. “Consideration will be given at a later date to the question of the registration and enrolment of others who are not located in the vicinity of these centres,” said the Minister. “Those who wish to enrol are rea nested to make application at the nearest defence office.”
