CANADIAN WAR LOAN.
HEAVY OVERSUBSCRIPTION LIKELY. (Received This Pay, 9.5 a. in.) OTTAWA, January 11. The Minister of Finance (Mr J. h. Ralston) announced that the iirst domestic Canadian war loan would be offered on Monday, and would total 200,000,000 dollars. It would comprise 3-'- per cent, bonds dated February 1, 1940 to be sold at par. The bonds would mature in 1952, through a system of annual drawings by lot. Ihey would be called in in five equal sections beginning on 1 ebruary 1, 19 < • Financial circles generally anticipat that the loan will be heavily over-sub-scribed. In addition Mr Ralston, at us discretion, may convert the Dominion of Canadf 3 per cent, bond issue of 115 000,000 dollars maturing on 'Maicli 1, 1940, into equal value of the new
