Nine members of the crew drifted in an open boat for 24 hours and landed on the East Coast. CREW FOR INTERNMENT. CAPTURED GERMAN LINER SUNK (Received This Dav, 9.5 a.m.) LONDON, January 12. Tire Capetown correspondent, of “The Times’’ reports that a British warship landed! the c-tf'W lot the Ussukuma for internment. When intercepted by a British cruiser in the, South Atlantic early last month, the crew attempted to scuttle the ship, but it was bolted to keep the liner afloat. It is now learned that she sank.
