MR TAU HENARE. AUCKLAND. January 12. Mr Tan Henare, who was for 2 ! years member of Parliament lor the Northern Maori constituency, died to-day at Mata tan. Bay of Islands. MR J. R. HAMILTON. INVERCARGILL, January 12. The death occurred at Winton to-day of Mr John Ronald Hamilton, a former member of Parliament for Awarua, and brother of the Leader of the Opposition, the Hon. Adam Hamilton. He took a prominent part in public affairs in Southland until a few years ago. In a political career covering 17 years, Mr Hamilton was elected to Parliament for two terms. Ho had the distinction of beating Sir Joseph Ward.
