GARDEN PARTY.
WILLOWBY METHODIST GATHERING. Tlie beautiful grounds of “Ryeland Grange,” the residence of Mr and Mrs H. C. B. Withe 11, presented a picturesque appearance on Saturday afternoon when a representative gathering assembled for the annual garden party of the Willowby Methodist. Circuit. The function was a purely social affair and a pleasant time was spent on the lawns. The tennis courts and swimming pool attracted many of the youngejr folk. Mr Burnett, M.l\, opened the garden party with challenging speech on the place of active church life, and a vital religious experience in the present world chaos. The Rev. W. W. Ayery welcomed the guests. Strawberries and cream, ice-cream, and afternoon tea were served on the lawn by Mfrs G. H. B. Lill, Mrs H. Crossman, Mrs W. T. Lill and a bevy of assistants.
