GARDEN PARTY.
SPBI NGB UR N PR E S BYT E RIA NS. A successful garden party, conducted by the Springhurn - Staveley Presbyterian Ladies’ Guild, was held in the gronndsc of the residence of Mr C. Campbell, Springhurn, on Saturday afternoon. Over £2O was netted on behalf of the funds of the Springhurn .Charge..; Proceedings were officially opened by Mr T. D. Burnett, M.P., who delivered an interesting address in which ho wished the function every success.
The grounds were ideal for the occasion, and during the afternoon croquet, clock golf, and tennis were indulged in by visitors. The stalls were in charge of Miss E. Johnstone and Mrs L. Bansgrove (needlework), Mrs S. Goldsmith (produce), Mrs Riddick and Miss J. Campbell (cakes)); afternoon tea. (Mrs Aldridge) Mrs West and Mesdames Campbell and Scott; Miss Urquhart (fruit salad);
