OIL FOR GERMANY.
RUSSIA PROMISES 800,000 TONS. KEEPING OUT OF THE WAR. NEW YORK, November 19. The Moscow correspondent of -the “New York. Times” (Mr G. E. R. Geclyo) says: “It is reliably reported that Russia has promised Germany 800,000 tons of oil, which is generous in view of Russia’s military and industrial requirements. “It can probably be regarded as compensation for Germany’s surrender of the Polish Drohobycz oilfields. “If the amount is actually delivered, it will further confirm the genuineness of Rlussia’s oft-repeated intention of keeping out of a world war,”
