FRENCH ESTIMATES PRESENTED huge sums for allowances. (Received This Day, 1.20 p.m.) PARIS, November 17. The Minister of Finance (M. Reynaud), presenting the 1940 Budget estimates to the Finance Committee, estimated that’ the expenditure would he £438,000,000. The revenue would be slightly higher, despite new items of expenditure, including £82,000,000 on allowances to the families of those on service, and £14,000,000 on refugees. The expenditure on the armed forces, however, was not included, but M. Reynaud was confident that the Budgetary position was sound. BUSINESS AT BRADFORD. LPNDON, November 16.
