YOUNG MAN KILLED.
MOTOR CAR STRUCK BY TRAIN. (Per Press Association.' AUCKLAND, November 16. Fatal injuries were suffered by Mr Edward Wilson Alke>v, aged 23, in a collision between the car he was driving and an express train at a level crossing lat Frankton this evejning. This is the fourth crossing accident in the Hamilton district in the last four weeks, two having proved fatal. Mr Alker, was driving a now twoseater motor-ear, and it was struck thy the Auekland-Wellington express on a crossing just north of the Frankton railway yards. Five tracks cross at this point. The ear was carried. 35 yards before it was thrown, aside. Among other injuries Mr Alker . suffered a fractured skull, and died within a few minutes. The engine of tho train was extensively damaged, and had to be replaced. Mr Alkov was a single man, and was, the proprie tor of the Alker Machinery Exchange at Frankton, where lie lived.
