FATAL SEIZURE.
WOMAN FOUND DEAD BY FIRE. (Per Press Association). DUNEDIN. November 16. Mrs Isabella Chalmers Bryce, a widow, met her death at her home, No. 4 Clarendon Street, this afternoon. Airs Bryce, aged 78. had been a semiinvalid for the Inst 18 months, and lived with hey two daughters, who had left her alive and well when they returned to work after their midday lunch hour. When one of them returned about 5.20 this evening she observed smoke issuing from her mother’s room, and, on entering, saw her mother lying dead beside tho fire burning in the open grate. The clothing had been burned from the lower part of b.or body, and it is assumed that Airs Bryce had had a seizure and fallen against the fire.
