WOMEN’S INSTITUTE.
ACTIVITIES AT TINWALD. Tho Timvald Women’s Institute held its monthly meeting in the Parish Hall yesterday. The president (Mrs Lundy) presided over a- large attendance. A motion of sympathy with Mrs Cooke in her bereavement was carried in silence. Mrs Hopwood reported oil the halfyearly meeting el the Federation. Mrs Lundy and Miss N. Clark were ailpointed delegates to a general meeting in Ashburton. Mrs Dunlop gave a talkon health. Competitions resulted as follows: Christmas article, Mrs Christie 1, Mrs Bayliss 2, Mrs McClintoek 3, Mrs Hopwood h c; kisses, Mrs Christie I, Mrs McClintoek 2, Mrs Bayliss 3; cabbage, Mrs Robertson 1, Mrs Brown 2, Mrs Bayliss 3; bloom, Mrs McClintoek 1, Mrs Brown 2, Mrs Dunlop 3. The hostesses were Mesdames Lundy, Tod, Christie, and Miss Fay Gild sell.
