ST. JAMES THEATRE. To-night the final screening of the triple star programme will he given with the last chapter of the unive-.sai favourite “The ‘Lone Ranger,” Dick Powell, Pat O’Brien and Priscilla Lane in tho “Cowboy from Brooklyn” and the thrilling ail* drama “Pirates of the Skies.” Commencing 'an extended season at the matinee to-morr >w is the c.ageny anticipated film of A. J. Cronin’s great novel “The Citadel.” Accorded extended seasons everywhere this Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer production has been voted the best film of to year by the National Board of Review and awarded the Blue Ribbon by the National Screen Council. Robert Donat and Rosalind Russell are starred uul the associate castes headed by such stella artists as Ralph Richardson, Emlyn Williams and Rex Harrison. A powerful novel “The Citadel” is now a greater screen drama and with an eager public awaiting its Ashburton season big houses axe predicted and it behoves intending patuns to make reservation to avoid disappointment .
