A radio message announces that Herr Hitler has -decreed the reintroduction of the bestowal of the iron cross and created a new “knight class” of it, replacing tho order Pour La Merito hitherto the highest German honour for bravery in the field. BROADCASTS IN GERMAN. AMERICA’S' BIGGEST STATION. (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) WASHINGTON, September 2. The General Electric Company’s radio station W.G.E.A., western hemisphere’s most powerful short-wave station will start German language news broadcasts to Europe to-morrow.
