The London correspondent of the American United Press says that the House of Commons and the House of Lords passed the National Service Bill, empowering the' conscription of men between the ages of 18 and 41. The same source states that a war cabinet has 1 been formed, consisting, of nine members.—Mr Chamberlain, Sir John Simon (Chancellor of the Exchequer), • Viscount Halifax (Foreign Affairs), Mr Winston Churchill (First Lord of the Admiralty), Sir Samuel Hoare (Privy Seal), Lord Chatfield (Co-ordination of Defence), Mr HoreBelisha (Secretary for War), Sir Kingsley Wood (Air), Lord Hankay (Minister without Portfolio).
