ADVANCE BY GERMANS.
CROSSING OF WARTE RIVER. CAPTURE OF TOWN REPORTED. (Received This Day, 11,20 a.m.) LONDON, September 3. The German wireless announces that the forces have made extensive advances on all fronts last night and early to-day. The Warte River was crossed near Wielun, which is a railway town in the Dodz Province, about 10 miles from the frontier. Polish troops isolated in the Corridor unsuccessfully tried to break through. A later German communique announced the capture of Zcestechown. The troops are swiftly advancing. The Polish Embassy in London denied reports that the Germans had cut the Corridor.
