BAND OF HOPE.
MONTHLY MEETING AT RAKAIA. The monthly meeting* of the Rnkaia Band of Hope was held under the chairmanship of Air S. Wilson. Items were given by Airs J. Balm or, recitations ; Sheila AlcKie, songs; Eric Betimes, harmonica selections ; Airs D. B. Ashford and Miss Mary Ashford, songs with harp accompaniment; and Doreen Pluck, song. Community singing was led by Aliss M. Ashford and Aliss E. Saunders, with Airs ID. B. Ashford and Airs S. AVilson at the piano. Lantern slides were shown by Air AY. Ashford. Doireen Pluck, for the members, made a presentation to Aliss Enid Saunders, who will be married shortly.
