THE ASHBURTON MARKET. Prices at the Ashburton fruit and produce market yesterday were: Walnuts—6d to 8d lb. Carrots—2d a bunch, 6s 6d a sugarbag. Cabbages—4d to 6d. Chaff—3s to 3s 6d a sack. . Potatoes—6s 6d to 7s a sugar-bag. Wheat—£l and 22s a sack. Honey—Bd and 9d a lb. Onions—3d lb. Bacon—lOd and Is a lb. Apples—Bs to 9s a case. Cauliflowers —9d to Is. • Leeks—3d and 4d a bundle. Swede Turnips—3s 6d a sugar-bag. Parsnips—4s to 6s 6d a bag. Celery—3d and 4d a bunch. Erica (heather) —2s 6d to 3s a dozen bundles.
