AUSTRALIANS OPTIMISTIC.

WELLINGTON, July 4
“Wool prices are rising and Australian. growers arc very optimistic about the coming season,” said Mr W. O. Bennie, of Doyleston, Canterbury, who has been to the Sydney sales.
He said marked improvement was being made in Australian lamb for export and there was no possible doubt that Australia, would become an increasingly important competitor with. New Zealand in tho export meat trade.
