Tlie Duke of Kent, speaking at the American Society’s Independence Day dinner, paid a tribute to the enthusiasm of their Majesties 2 ' reception in the United States. He added that such spontaneous expressions 'of ’friendship' were most encouraging' irt these tr'ou blous times‘and proved that the' ideal'of peace was undoubtedly achievable."
