ST. JAMES THEATRE. The fun favourites, the Ritz Bros.', are at their best in “Life Begins In College,’’ the musical comedy, which with ‘‘Boots and Saddles,” starring Gene Autry, will conclude its local run at the St. James Theatre this evening. ■ Debonair William Powell . . . lovely Annabella! He’s the perfect butler and she’s the perfect lady. They’re costarred together in “The Baroness and the Butler,” Darryl F. Zanuck’s newest 20th Century-Fox hit production which will bo the week-end attraction at the St. James It’s Bill Powell at his best, and lovely Annabella ... in hqr first American-made picture . . . the most exciting personality ever to grace the screen. “The Baroness and the Butler” provides a gay situation within a few seconds of the opening of the picture and carries the light tempo through the entire story. Powell is so proper (even as a butler) and yet lie outrages the Count’s family and friends by'a- surprising breach of conduct. The supporting cast of “The Baronetit and the Butler’’ also features Joseph Schildkraut, J. Edward Bromberg, Nigel Bruce and Lynn Bari. The programme will be presented at a matinee to-morrow.
