WORK RESUMED.
STATE MINE DISPUTE ENDED.
THE QUESTION OF SAFETY. (Per Press Association.! GREYMOUTH, This Day. Work was resumed at the Liverpool State Mine this morning following three days’ idleness. A dispute arose on the question of the safety of the mine on Tuesday. The deputies signed tho customary declaration that the mine was safe, but this was not accepted hy the miners.
Yesterday the deputies refrained from signing the book, consequently the miners could not work.
At a conference yesterday afternoon the deputies agreed to sign the book this morning.
