METHVEN BEATS WAIREKA. » The Methven Croquet Club played a match at Methven against the Waireka Club yesterday in the South Canterbury B Flag competition. Methven won by 8 games to 1. The visitors wore hospitably entertained by the local club. The greens were in splendid order in spite of the wet weather and the match was a. most enjoyable one. Details are as follow, Methven names being given first: —- Singles. Airs Robinson 26, Airs Robilliard 10; Airs Newman 26, Miss HaVdwick 20 ; Airs Duff 10, Mrs 'McMillan 26; Mrs Owen 26, Mrs Vial 20; Airs Guthrie 26, Airs Flatman 22; Airs Paddy 26, Airs Turton 3.
