PLUNKET SOCIETY.
THE METHVEN SUB-BRANCH. Mrs Wootton presided over the monthly meeting of the 1 Methven sub-branch of the Plunket Society, at which there was a good attendance. The nurse’s report for October was: Visits to homes 23; visits to rooms, adults 51, babies 50, older children 10. There were four new cases.
A framed photograph of the late Sir Truby King, which has been hung in the rooms, was unveiled by Mrs John Watson, who paid a tribute to the founder of the Society.
It was reported that receipts from the Institute luncheon, served by the Plunket Society, amounted to £7 7s. Midland Motorways, Ltd., forwarded a cheque for £1 Is for the funds.
