BOYS’ BRIGADE.

FINAL; PARADE OF YEAR. INTERESTING PROGRAMME The final parade of the year of the 3rd Canterbury (St. Andrew’s) Boys’ Brigade Company was held last evening in the St. Andrew’s Hall. The opening devotional service was led by the Padre (the Rrv. J>. S. Watson). This was followed bv an ,inspection of the company by Captain A. Horne.

After a period of physical drill and games an interesting gymnastic display Avas given, a feature of which was the formation of a pyramid. A firstaid demonstration Avas hold, the judgo (Miss Woods) awarding first place to No-. 3 G)roup. Reference Avas made to the services tendered by Captain Horne during the last three years. , A A'ote of thanks and appreciation was passed to Dr. W. R. Ryburn, avlio had given most interesting and instructive lectures on first aid.

Privates Moore and Drummond Avere congratulated on passing the 'examination to qualify for their diploma. After some very pleasing ' musical numbers had been given by an instrumental trio consisting of Mr T. Staples',* Privates' Harwood and Wood, supper Avas served.

There Avas a large number of parents and friends present.
