Mr W. H. Amos (prosklent of the Ashburton Fanciers’ Society) has been elected a vice-president of the South Island (Now Zealand) (Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Association.
Mr V. P. Boot, Empire Games champion, will leave Ashburton for the North Island this evening to take part atl the athletic meeting at Hamilton. He will compete in the short-limit handicap of 1000 yards.
Mr P. S. Bonifant, of the staff of the Ashburton branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association, was presented with a chiming clock from the firm’s staff in view of his recent manriage.
