RURAL MAIL AT EALING. .Because the number of boxholders would be below the requirements for ail extension, the Post.il Department has decided not to extend the AjslihurtonMayfield rural mail service to take in a number of farmers at Ealing who desired to link up with the service. It was proposed that the, mail ear should deviate from its present route at Clement’s corner on the Hinds-Rangitatn road, and run to within about one mile of Ealing railway station. The extra distance to be covered would be six miles to serve seven new box-holders.
