THE ASHBURTON CLUB. BOGEY MATCH PLAYED. A Bogey match was played by members of the Ashburton Golf Club on Saturday, J. Mcßae being the winner with a score of 1 up. The best scores were: J. Mcßae 1 up, J. Smith 2 down, I. Gilchrist 3 down, J. H. Chapman 3 down, 0. J. Bonnington 3 down, N. Stoddart 4 down, J. H. Browne 6 down. Captain’s Trophy. The match between I. Gilchrist and •I. H. Chapman for the final of the Captain’s Trophy resulted in a tie, and had to he replayed yesterday. Chapman was successful, winning 3 up and one to play.
