FARMERS’ TOUR.
OTAGO IRRIGATION AREAS. TWENTY-EIGHT SEATS BOOKED. Twenty-eight farmers of Ashburton County have notified their intention of making the tour of the Otago irrigation areas organised by the Mid-Can-terbury Provincial Executive of the Farmers’ Union with the object of permitting farmers to view irrigation methods in operation. The party will leave Ashburton • at 10.30 a.m. on Monday, November 21, and will go to Ranfurly, where they will stay for the night. Subsequent nights will be' spent at Alexandra (Tuesday), Cromwell (Wednesday), (Pembroke (Thursday) and Queenstown Friday). On the return journey, on Saturday, a. stop will he made at the Waitaki hydro-electric works. Officers of the Agricultural Department will conduct the party in the several districts visited.
