The famous young Irish tenor we have heard so often over the national stations, also as the singer in that beautiful picture, “The Rose of Tralee,” Danny Malone, is making a personal appearance at St. Andrew’s Hall next Tuesday. He is fortunate in possessing a disposition and personality that immediately make him friendly with his audience. These qualities do much in making an artist popular. Unlike many artists, this singer is capable of treating any type of song with" equal understanding of the composer’s purpose and of the emotional reactions of the audience. Danny Alalone has a rich, clear tenor voice of the most polished type, combining a glorious rich quality of tone with rare taste and insight in interpretation, and an unusual reserve of emotional power. Truly it can be said “He is a great artist.” On Tuesday night Danny Alalone will he assisted by a specially company. We feel sure Ashburton residents will turn out in large numbers to greet this radio and picture star. The box plan is at Wilson’s music store.
