COMING ROYAL VISIT. QUESTIONS OF ETIQUETTE. WASHINGTON, October .20. Social leaders refuse to believe that President. Roosevelt has invited King George and Queen Elizabeth to stay at the White House. It is explained that this simply could not be done, because there are only five spare bedrooms, although they are big enough for squash courts. Questions of etiquette are already worrying Americans. It is generally considered that, unlike Mine. Lebrun, the wife of the French President, Mrs Roosevelt will not curtsey to the Queen. It is urged that, held as the first lady of the United States, she is equal to Royalty. Mrs Roosevelt cheerfully told the press that she would do as she was told. 7 •
