PATRONAL FESTIVAL.
ST. LUKE’S CHURCH, HINDS. The Patronal Festival of SI. Luke's Anglican Church, Hinds, was celebrated on Tuesday evening. A service in the church was conducted by Canon H. J. AA r . Knights, of Rakaiu. The lessons were read by Mr D. S. Studholme and Air T. R Mulligan, .Junior. Mr Al. Braddiek was organist. After tine • service tho parishioners attended a social in the parish room, where musical items were enjoyed, tin behalf of the Rev. A. S. Moffat, who was indisposed, Canon Knights thanked members of the Girls’ Friendly’ Society, the Mothers’ Union and Social Clni» for their gilts of articles for use in the church. Supper was served by the ladies.
