He is suffering from cirrhosis of the liver. Five physicians and three specialists have been called in.
The correspondent of “The Times” in Istanbul says that when the Alexandretta. incident between France and Turkey was acute reports sent to Britain and France that Kemal was extremely ill wei'o strongly resented in Angora and resulted in Kemal touring Mersina.
The journey undoubtedly distressed him. He contracted a chill and since then his health has given rise to anxiety.
