ARBITRATION COURT.
SECOND TO CEASE FUNCTIONING (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, October 28. The Mipister for Labour (the Hon. H. T. Armstrong) announced to-day that the Second Court of Arbitration would automatically cease to function on November 22, as it had been appointed for a period not to exceed- a year. Air Justice Hunter had been permanently appointed as a Judge and the Alinister for Justice '(the Hon. 11. G. It. Mason) had useful work for him to do. One Industrial Alagisfirate, who had been appointed,, Mr J. A. Gilmour, had done good work, and it might he neebssary to appoint a second Magistrate.
AVith the first Arbitration Court still operating, that would be sufficient to deal with all industrial matters.
