The German leaders, at a speciallycalled meeting of the Diet, demanded full autonomy for Memel. The tension has been renewed. Thousands demonstrated throughout the city and greeted M. Saucker with shouts of “One Reich, one people, one leader!” and “Out with the Jews!”
