SUSTENANCE FRAUDS.
MODE OF REPAYING “DEBT.” (Per Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, May 30. Sustenance money was obtained by Norman Patrick Kinsella to repay money previously obtained by fraud. Kinsella was fined £ls by Mr W. H. Woodward, S.M. The Department did not prosecute Kinsella for earlier frauds, but arranged with him for repayment by small sums .weekly. Kinsella continued to make false statements, and obtained further sums. In the meantime he reduced his “debt” to the Department from mere than £7 to a few shillings. 1 Kinsella pleaded guilty to several charges of making false statements and one of false pretences. On the last charge he was fined £ls.
