CRINOLINE GOWN.

QUEEN AT A THEATRE. LONDON, Alay 11. Dressed in a Victorian evening gown for the first time, the Queen last night attended a gala ballet at Sadler’s Wells in aid of the Lillian Bayliss memorial fund. Her Majesty’s crinoline gown was of jewelled lace over a soft, peach-coloured foundation. She wore a diamond bandeau in her hair and the new style admirably set off her dark beauty and gave her a most regal air. Ten thousand persons outside the theatre forced the Queen’s car to a walking-pace, and mounted police had to clear a way for her.
